This position is for a full-time natural gas scheduler responsible for the transportation and delivery of natural gas from the producer’s receipt points to the downstream market’s sales point. Major tasks include sales nominations, imbalance management, and working closely with internal stakeholders to document and optimize the processes surrounding the marketing, scheduling, and invoicing functions of the natural gas revenue lifecycle. This person could work on site at our Oklahoma City or Houston office.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate scheduling of gas deliveries to meet the demands of shippers and consumers.
- Monitor production volumes, gas flow, transportation capacity to coordinate and facilitate the movement of residue gas through multiple pipelines along with different processing, treating, and storage facilities.
- Manage imbalances between sales and actual production to minimize risk positions and maximize trade value.
- Work closely with various counterparties to include but not limited to operations, gas control, marketing, accounting, and commercial groups internally and externally with the Producer, Pipelines, and Downstream Markets.
- Confirm with Downstream Markets sales volumes and sales invoices are correct
- Monitor operational activities and arrange plans for any changes required due to outages, freeze offs, operational flow orders (OFOs), and any maintenance activities
- Work closely with Trade Capture Product team to add functionality and optimize the efficiency of trade capture, scheduling, invoicing, & the analytics surrounding physical marketing activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent scheduling experience
- Strong Communication, Interpersonal, and Collaboration skills are required. This job requires the candidate to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with traders and other schedulers to achieve daily goals and work as a team, and possess interpersonal skills necessary to build positive relationships, actively listen to others, and manage conflict resolution
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products but especially well versed in Excel.
- Must be able to read and interpret Natural Gas Gathering, Treating, & Processing agreements to ensure scheduling movements comply with all applicable contract terms and conditions.
- Preferred: Experience in the Marketing and Scheduling of Residue Natural Gas.
- Ability to be on call and work as needed nights, weekends, & holidays
- Preferred: Understanding of the EBB's of major interstate and intrastate pipelines as it relates to scheduling and confirming gas.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills who can quickly prioritize tasks effectively in order to manage workload efficiently and independently
